Working with me requires a minimum of a 6 month commitment, but ideally a full year, as well as a space of at least 15 hours a week [about two hours a day] for you to focus on purchasing, preparing, and creating nutritious meals for yourself. My program involves teaching ancestral food preparation skills as much as teaching you what to eat. I can’t do the work for you, so what you put into this program is what you will get out of it. I am pleased to be here as a coach, and a guide on your journey back into real food, but I won’t be in your kitchen with you!

This program is focused on long term, sustainable choices that are highly adaptable and customizable to the individual, or in other words—I utilize a bio-individual approach. There is no one diet that is right for all people, so we focus on what are the best dietary choices for you. This is not a quick fix, or a bandaid approach, just as it took years or even decades for your body to fall into disregulation, for most it will take years of consistency to heal the disregulation. It all depends on the severity of your symptoms when we begin the work, and the time, effort, resources, and energy you are able to dedicate to your own healing. Some people will feel much better in as little as 1 month, and with others, it may take a full cell cycle [7 years]. Fortunately the majority of cases land somewhere in between, and heal up to 80-90% in as little as 1-3 years.

We will occasionally use whole food supplements and herbs to address and heal symptoms, as they arise. Again, consistency is key. If you are not ready to dedicate a good chunk of your time to becoming consistent in your food habits, then I don’t recommend working with me yet. However, everything we cover will be compiled for you in a Google Doc, that is yours for life, to be worked on at your own pace, and you are always welcome to schedule extra calls for clarification. As always, the best results come with the most earnest dedication.

Most people are so disconnected from real food at this point in our world that the first six months can feel intense, and I believe it’s crucial to give your body and mind time to adjust to each change and really feel into how it affects you. The end goal of this program is different for most people, but I see it as working towards intuitive eating habits, and gaining confidence in the kitchen, which will serve you well the rest of your life.

Finally this is a participatory experience, I will provide questionnaires at the end of each segment, for you to answer on your own time, and you will be required to track your eating habits at various points. The more details you can provide in your answers the better I will be able to support you. Everything you share will be strictly confidential.

If you would like to work with me towards healing your body and mind, please fill out this form, and I will get back to you within one week. I look forward to hearing from you!

Yours in health,

Caralee Lacie

I am a holistic nutritionist focused on ancestral eating patterns and lifestyle changes. I work with people to help correct the damage this modern world has done to their bodies. I believe that nearly everyone can heal, even from the things allopathic medicine claims are ‘incurable, chronic, and pathological.’ My mission is to bring people back to the knowledge of simple nourishment. I teach people about what our bodies are made up of, with the goal of helping you to sustainably shift your diet to be continuously more in line with the building blocks of life.

I practice what I preach, but I do not use everything that I recommend. This is because I often work with people who are in need of deep healing, usually requiring a total reset and detox phase. I’m also highly sensitive to many foods, though no longer due to indigestion, or allergies. I’m sensitive to flavor, texture, and temperature. I’m an extremely ‘picky eater’ especially with texture due to sensory issues. I travel a lot, and move frequently, and am just generally pretty busy or distracted with things, so I often need my food to be quick, easy and relatively thoughtless. This was actually my biggest inspiration in becoming a nutritionist, because I wanted to be sure that every calorie I ate was dense with life building nourishment, and I wanted to figure out how to make it easy to do so.

So I did the ‘easiest’ thing I could think of—I spent close to ten years doing thousands of hours of research and reading hundreds of books about everything from poetry to neuroscience to nutrition to psychology to philosophy. I started a website, and an instagram, and eventually a business. I’ve also started writing a book, because I needed a more long-form way to organize my food philosophy. I feel a strong pull to be able to write out an explanation of how to reclaim our health in the modern world, by learning from our ancestors and listening to our bodies.

In the meantime, however, I intend to work with clients towards greater holistic healing through lifestyle shifts. I don’t condone diet culture, and I don’t believe that any food is inherently good or bad. I see food, herbs, lifestyle and the natural world as the highest form of medicine. And as a holistic healer I believe that trauma work has a deep tie to these issues in most people, especially when a pattern is pronounced enough to merit a pathological or clinical diagnosis. Which is why I often combine nutritional therapy with my work as a trauma coach. I believe at our highest level, body, mind and soul are One and while it is good to understand each of them individually, it is better to understand them together.
