1. Wash scalp and hair thoroughly with your new tea tree shampoo!

  2. Add essential oils of Oregano, Thyme, and Tea Tree, and shake bottle to incorporate.

    1. start with 1-3 drops of each oil, then test potency on your scalp

    2. add more as needed, one drop at a time

    3. tea tree is more forgiving than oregano and thyme in terms of how well your skin can tolerate it without burning

    4. thyme and oregano are both very HOT oils, so care should be taken to not overuse them, as they can burn your skin when concentrated too highly

    5. thyme and oregano should not be used topically for extended periods of time [more than 2-3 weeks, less for sensitive skin].
stop using if you experience, a burning sensation, worsening rash, or inflammation where used topically.

  3. Use scalp massager or massage well with your fingers, try to avoid creating too much friction or rough friction.

  4. Leave shampoo on scalp for at least 3-5 minutes before rinsing off.

  5. Condition scalp and hair every other day with tea tree conditioner

    1. Optional: Add essential oils of lavender, tea tree and rosemary

2.1.1. tea tree and rosemary are medium heat oils, start with 2-3 drops, then incorporate and test on scalp

2.1.2. personally I find this conditioner to be perfectly balanced and tingly, so it may not need any additional oils.

    2. Cover scalp and let sit for a minimum of 5 minutes and up to 20 minutes, it feels so nice!!

  6. Carefully wash hands, including under fingernails after each application of ointments, balms or treatments, or after itching any infected areas

  7. Wash sheets every 3 days at minimum

    1. It would be ideal to wash sheets, or at minimum pillowcases, every day for the first week while the fungus is contagious so as to not reinfect yourself

  8. Wash or change pillowcases every morning

    1. Don’t use the evenings pillowcases once you wake up if you’re planning to stay in bed

    2. Try to change them first thing in the morning since your body does a lot of detoxing and skin sloughing in the evenings and those are the skin cells that can reinfect you and prolong the treatments

  9. Change socks and underwear daily

    1. Wash as needed

  10. Wash all linens and laundry with a half cup of diluted vinegar placed where fabric softener would go, or where bleach goes. i.e. don’t add in with laundry soap, it will change the PH of your detergent and lessen it’s effectiveness.

    1. Wash every load as hot as possible while still caring for the fabrics

    2. If a fabric item cannot be washed, either steam treat it and dry it in the sun, bake it in the sun for a few days, or carefully wipe it off and quarantine it for up to a year.

      1. 7.2.1. I’m sure there are anti-fugal sprays for these items, but I do not know their effectiveness, or safety.

    3. Don’t forget to change out and wash bath and hand towels daily as well.

  11. Treat all ringworm patches simultaneously, so as to avoid reinfection.
