I am a Nutritionist and Life Coach specializing in the evolution of food over time, and Ancestral Nutritional eating patterns. I am here to help you learn how to pair this old wisdom with new science to get back to optimal functioning. My main focus with clients is overcoming chronic gut inflammation, and working with healing somatic trauma, which are precursors for many modern ailments. I do this by carefully addressing the root of the problem while strategically alleviating symptoms. My goal is to help you reach sustainability in dietary choices, while teaching you how to tune in and listen to your body, through a biodiverse, emotionally aware approach to holistic healing.
In my practice I have incorporated Nutrition and Life Coaching with Somatic Psychology for a more complete approach to whole body health and wellness. I often work with clients on increasing body movement and activity in a way that is fulfilling to them, and easily manageable, while keeping in mind their mental, and emotional health by teaching self awareness and working to remove trauma based road blocks.
In addition, I am a certified Enneagram Coach, and I help clients better understand themselves and their experiences through this 150 year old personality typing system, to carefully and sustainably catalyze growth in as many areas as you would like to work on at once.
I believe that true health and healing is a holistic practice, and I am prepared to guide you through that. I am currently taking on clients for the 2021 calendar year. Feel free to email me with any inquiries: thecaraleelacie@gmail.com
I hope to hear from you!

Session One: $400 flat. Overview.
This session must come first to lay a foundation for your nutritional goals. In this session we will focus on getting to know you, your current situation, diet, and lifestyle which all play a part in learning to nourish your body. I will begin with basic questions about the things you currently eat, your activity levels, workload, and even your mental health goals.
I will take notes during this, and all sessions, so that I may keep a log of what you may need moving forward, and so that in the event of a check in we will both have a clear idea of where you’ve come from and how well you are progressing towards your goals.
It’s important to have a full picture of your lifestyle beyond food, because nourishment is holistic. If your mental health is suffering doing an extreme diet could be the worst thing for you, at that time. Or if your work or family are demanding of your time and you focus on quick, easy bites, then learning ancestral skills in the kitchen right away, may be overwhelming.
To recap, this will be a mandatory one hour session to discuss where you are in your nutrition goals, and what you would like to focus on moving forward in a realistic, sustainable way. Nourishment is all about your needs. Nutritional needs are different for each person, due to bio-individuality, environment, heritage, and lifestyle choices.
There is no one diet that will work for every person. If anyone tells you different they are selling ‘snake oil.’
Session Two: $150 per hour.
Deep Dive.
In this session we will go over the foods you are regularly eating, in depth, as well as other aspects of lifestyle, such as exercise, alcohol, sugar, carb, grain, and supplement consumption. This will be a crucial step in our process as many people are quite confused about nutrition, and rightfully so. There is so much conflicting information out there, so we will do our best to focus on the science, and making sure that you have a good understanding of the changes you are making in your diet, and why you are making them.
I believe that real change happens when the individual is both convinced it is necessary, and that they are ready for it. It is likely that no amount of others telling you that you should *follow my personal belief systems* will make you want to take their advice. However, having someone take the time to offer you understanding of your own body and it’s bio-individual needs so that you may make your own informed and empowered decisions can have a great impact.
In this session we will assess what changes initially need to be made in a realistic, sustainable way. We will talk about what you feel you can accomplish in a day, week, or month, and we will work out some attainable goals. We can move as quickly or slowly as you would like through this step. You set the pace.
At the end of this session we can make and set goals together, at whatever scale you can handle. We can put it down on a calendar together, or I can email you with the points we discussed and helpful suggestions to get you started on your own.
Session Three: $150 per hour.
Set course.
In this session we will go over personal lifestyle choices regarding diet, such as plant-based, pescatarian, or omnivore dietary choices. We will discuss what you are open to and how you can eat the healthiest way possible in accordance to your lifestyle choices. This will be discussed briefly in the first two steps, but depending on your dietary needs and choices, we will go more in depth in this session.
For example, no matter what your nutritional needs are there are first steps toward nourishment that anyone of any dietary conviction can take without altering their ingrained beliefs. So in session one and two, though it may come up that you are vegan, the first stepping stones will likely be the same as if you were an omnivore. This is because we are aiming for sustainable diet changes, not system shocking lifestyle changes, or weight loss plans. Weight loss will often be a factor in working with nutrition, but contrary to the Western Medical ideals, I believe that a range of body types are healthy and nourished, and you are at your healthiest not when you reach a *perfect* BMI or your goal weight, but rather when you are eating a consistently nutrient dense diet rich in foods that your body thrives on in every possible way.
Depending on your needs, and concerns we may begin to utilize blood testing or allergy testing. Not so that we can cut foods out, but just to obtain a more accurate picture of what you may need to feel whole again.
